Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (MoJ)
- Moved a legacy system into the cloud
- Capture citizen information securely in a repository
- Used Agile methodology
Who are they?
Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), formally known as the National Offender Management Service (NOMS), reduces reoffending by rehabilitating people in their care through education and employment. The agency is made up of Her Majesty’s Prison Service, the National Probation Service and a headquarters focussed on creating tools and learning.
What did they need?
HMPPS needed a new Case Management system (Strategic Partner Gateway) to underpin a new policy directive, driving the delivery of HMPPS services through third party Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRCs)
What did Zaizi do?
Zaizi has been a key supplier partner for The Ministry of Justice. The Strategic Partner Gateway (SPG) is a secure messaging service to support data exchange between the Authority ICT Applications and CRCs
This was a complex multi-supplier environment in which a Zaizi team continues to successfully work in collaboration with many other suppliers (3rd party organisations and independent contracts and consultants) using Agile at Scale methodology and providing a blended range of skills including Implementation, Infrastructure, Programme Management, Architectural, Testing, Release Management and Support services.
What was the outcome
The SPG programme was successfully delivered and continual development work has now been transitioned to the MoJ Digital Studio. We continue to work onsite in this organisation providing agile delivered enhancements to the system as part of a broader digital service delivery team.
