More awards acknowledge Zaizi’s diversity and inclusivity
Zaizi has won the ‘Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year’ award, adding to the list of accolades we have received around the topic this year.
The award, presented by the Growing Business Awards, recognised how we develop people from diverse backgrounds to help us solve problems more effectively and drive positive change.
The judges said: “We were impressed by Zaizi’s focus on diversity and inclusion – it’s at the core of the business and embedded in everything they do. We would use the word ‘authenticity’ to describe the company, and we are impressed by the continued drive to improve.”
It adds to the two other awards we’ve won around diversity and inclusion this year, alongside our ranking in Newsweek’s 100 Most Loved Workplaces in the UK.
That’s not all. Zaizi also picked up the UK Commercial Company of the Year (with up to 1,000 employees) award from hackajob.
Diversity and inclusion are a core part of our culture and strategy.
Nearly half of our employees come from minority backgrounds. Over a third are women, far exceeding the industry average. Most of our intern cohort are talented young women starting their tech journeys.
Our approach helps us deliver the diversity of thinking needed to deliver public sector projects successfully. The communities we serve are diverse, and so are our teams.

2023 roll call
In addition to our two recent award wins, here are the other acknowledgements we received this year.
2023 Women in Tech Employer Award
In June, we won the “Best Tech Employer (150-500 Employees)” at the 2023 Women in Tech Employer Awards. Judges praised Zaizi for the dedication and passion we’re showing to close the gender gap in tech.
“The judges were impressed with the initiatives Zaizi uses to attract new female tech talent, such as through Apprenticeships and strategic partnership,” said Women in Tech Employer Awards.
“They particularly liked that their entry included the current efforts Zaizi are making to be inclusive, plus their plans for the future.”
Women in Software Awards 2023
Zaizi received the ‘ChangeMaker’ award at the Women in Software Awards in September.
Hosted by Makers Academy, the ChangeMaker category honours the mentors, organisations and allies who empower women in tech.
Earlier in the year, our Makers apprentices made headlines and award nominations — even getting a mention from the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak.
Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces® in the UK
US media giant Newsweek recognised Zaizi as one of the Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces® in the UK for 2023.
It ranked us 49 on this prestigious list based on extensive research by Newsweek and the Best Practice Institute.
The list recognises companies that create a workplace where employees feel respected, inspired, appreciated and are at the centre of the business model.
They surveyed over 2 million employees from companies of all sizes, making this a hugely competitive process.
