From Criticism to Collaboration by Taming our Judge – 9 September, 3pm
At the Regional Scrum Gathering in Stockholm, Christine is facilitating a workshop ”From Criticism to Collaboration by Taming our Judge”.
Criticism is a common trait that comes from our inner critic and often shows up in our teams, stifling creativity and collaboration by bringing judgement to ourselves, to others and to our ideas.
This interactive workshop draws from some of the thinking of Positive Intelligence author Shirzad Chamine and takes a look at how and why our judgement shows up, and considers what we need to do to manage this and avoid the criticism and restricting of innovation that may limit ourselves and our teams.
We will look at some specific techniques that teams can use towards achieving a more positive and constructive collaborative state, and improve both their psychological safety and creativity in doing so.
Learning Outcomes:
- 1. Participants will leave the session understanding the three types of judge that form our inner critic, and have a clearer perspective of how these operate within themselves.
- 2. They will also gain an understanding of how these judges impact the way their teams work together.
- 3. Finally, they will learn some specific practices that teams can adopt to tame their judges and ensure that constructive collaboration can be built within the team.
