About the event
Artificial intelligence has become a transformative force in our modern world, yet there are many barriers to widespread adoption to sustain new, efficient and modern digital services. In 2024, the World Economic Forum ranked disinformation as a top global risk; from hostile adversaries using our modern information environment to try and subtly influence or even disrupt our way of life, the risk of AI hallucinations and bias, to the simple challenge of cutting through a competitive marketplace hype vs reality.
In this exclusive breakfast event our panel of experts on AI, disinformation and public sector digital transformation will explore critical issue of both sides – the light and dark – and what we can learn from how adversaries and criminals networks are using AI for nefarious purposes, and the safeguards, governance and ethics that government, defence and industry can use to harness the transformative potential of AI.
Key questions:
- What have we learnt from adversaries using AI to scale their approach disinformation and misinformation or create subtle influence?
- How can the public sector build up their own understanding, knowledge and expierence of AI to become more expert users?
- How can we cut through the hype of artificial intelligence and separate out fact from fiction?
- Ghost in the machine – can bad design or hostile actors create bias within our decision-making supply chain?
- What measures can be implemented to ensure AI systems are transparent and accountable?
